Expertise called upon to manage Hull's Fruit Market residential development and Hornsea seafront apartments

Developers of some of the region’s most desirable new residential offerings have turned to the expertise of the Garness Jones Residential team to manage their facilities and ensure they provide the highest standards of accommodation to residents.

Our Block Management service sees our specialists act in the interests of both the overall property owners - taking care of issues such as financial management, service charges, insurances and compliance - and leaseholders who seek stress-free living with matters such as repairs and maintenance in hand at all times.

Liam Parker, Senior Block Manager, says the firm was delighted to be instructed by Wykeland Beal to provide management services across the new Fruit Market development in Hull.

We currently manage 16 units which were sold as part of the first ‘Horner’s Quarter’, and our role is now to extend to cover a further 20 units in St Martin’s Quarter, the second stage of the Fruit Market development.

“We’re obviously delighted to have been entrusted to manage this prestigious development of contemporary city living in Hull which has been widely recognised for its high-quality and for playing a huge role in regenerating a key area of the city around the Marina and Humber Street,” said Mr Parker.

“As soon as these properties became available there was huge demand as it is a very desirable place to live.

“Our role is to ensure that the development runs smoothly on behalf of our client and is well maintained across all communal areas and facilities at all times.

“For the leaseholders, we will ensure that all matters that impact on the day to day experience of living there, such as lighting, refuse collection, servicing and general maintenance, are all in hand and managed effectively.

“It is imperative that the experience of living in the Fruit Market lives up to the expectation of the residents, and we will play a big part in that.”

Hornsea seafront development turns to expertise of Garness Jones team

Another high-quality residential development which has turned to the Garness Jones Residential team is Alexandra House in Hornsea, which is being developed by Beverley-based Foxglove Homes.

This new build development is on the site of the former Alexandra Hotel, which dates back to the 1860s, and includes nine one and two bedroom apartments – including a penthouse marketed as ‘the ultimate in luxury coastal living – boasting stylish interiors, bespoke kitchens and bathrooms and sea views

This contract follows being appointed by the Northern Suburbs Management Company to manage 12 residential units in George Street, Hull, whilst Mr Parker’s team is also now managing 32 ground and first-floor apartments in Kingswood which are providing low-cost living accommodation.

Garness Jones Residential were also instructed on the Carter Drive development in Hessle and Manor House Mews development in North Ferriby.

“We’re obviously delighted with the quality of developments that are turning to us for support and that is an indication of the strength of our reputation,” Mr Parker added.

“From a developer and owner point of view, they come to us looking for assurances over reliability and compliance. They want peace of mind that their premier developments are maintained and managed to the same standard they were built.

“From a resident’s perspective, we are of course available to assist 24 hours a day when there are emergencies, but with good planning and management we can ensure all issues impacting on their quality of life when at their home are taken care of, from maintenance of communal areas, lifts and lighting to any other matters.”

The Garness Jones Block Management team currently manages more than 2,000 residential units in more than 100 complexes of shared flats and apartments across Hull and the East Riding, including the Queens Court BBC Building in Hull, St Mary’s Manor in Beverley and Raywell House in the East Riding.
