Two ‘exceptional’ employees at Pure Block Management have been rewarded for the positive roles they have played in the company’s success and growth across Yorkshire with promotions to more senior roles.
Laura Street, who is based in the firm’s York office and focuses on block management across North Yorkshire, has been promoted from associate director to director, with block manager Sarah Robinson also promoted to senior block manager in Hull.
Director Liam Parker says the two promotions reflect the impact both Laura and Sarah have had on the business, who will now use their experience and understanding of the job to drive further growth and develop other team members at the business.
“When you grow as a business, you need to have employees who have the drive and capability to step up into more senior roles, take on more management and strategic responsibilities, and also develop the less experienced people within the business,” said director Liam Parker.
“In recent times we’ve enjoyed growth in both Hull and York and have recruited new team members in roles including block management, accounts and compliance.
“Sarah has been with us for 10 years and in that time has been an invaluable member of the team based in Hull, managing blocks for us across East Yorkshire.
“In her new role she will take on greater responsibility for the overall work of the team, ensuring we maintain our excellent reputation whist continuing to grow our client base.
“Similarly, Laura has made a tremendous impact on the business since joining our York team in January 2025, helping us achieve rapid growth across North Yorkshire.
“In her role of Director, she will become even more focussed on business strategy and development, which are both disciplines which come naturally to Laura as she has demonstrated over the past 16 months.
“We are delighted to be able to offer these career progression opportunities for both Sarah and Laura, who are exceptional in their roles.”
Growth of teams in Hull and York
Pure Block Management, part of the Yorkshire-based Garness Group which also includes commercial property specialists Garness Jones, has this year added block management specialist Becca Cornforth to its team in York, with experienced property specialist Sam Baldwin and Jasmine Lynch joining as a property management apprentice in Hull.
Mr Parker added: “Being able to promote people from within is important to us, as it ensures they are able to lead the development of the new people we introduce to the business as we grow, ensuring our culture and values remain in focus as we develop.
