The success, growth and expansion of Pure Block Management has brought national recognition with the business being named a double finalist in the prestigious Property Management Awards 2025.
Recognising outstanding achievement and innovation within the residential property management industry, the awards, now in their 16th year, turn the spotlight on some of the most dynamic and successful companies and individuals across the sector.
Finalists were selected after four weeks of judging, with a record-breaking number of entries considered this year, with judges describing them as being of an ‘exceptionally high standard’.
Pure Block Management has been shortlisted in the categories of ‘Scale Up Property Management Company of the Year’ and ‘Major Works Project of the Year’.
It has delighted Associate Director Laura Street, who said: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted in two categories at such a prestigious event, particularly as we are being recognised for exceptional work on a large, challenging individual restoration project, and also for our overall growth and development as a business over the past 12 months.
“This is the Oscars of our industry as it is a nationwide awards event, so it is a great testament to what our team has achieved to be recognised as being amongst the best in the business for what we do.”
Growth across North Yorkshire recognised
Our shortlisting in the ‘Scale-Up’ category recognises a significant increase in the number of residential blocks and individual units managed by the team across North Yorkshire, following our expansion into York, where a new office was opened in Micklegate this year.
In shortlisting us for the award, judges reflected on an active pipeline of potential future instructions, growth driven by referrals, tenders and consistent service delivery, and our commitment to ensuring value for money and best service for clients though retendering contracts for services such as gardening and cleaning, and insurance cover.
They were also impressed by our successful management of multiple major works programmes, including listed building refurbishments, with transparency and clarity ensuring leaseholders and residents remained happy throughout.
We are also shortlisted for the Major Works Project of the Year category, having overseen a full external refurbishment of a Grade II listed building situated within a conservation area.
The project required sensitive restoration of stonework, railings, and communal features of the five-storey building, delivered in compliance with conservation and building safety legislation.
Awards ceremony to be held in London
Awards organisers say the level of quality and professionalism across the entries made the task of shortlisting particularly challenging this year, and Ms Street says the Pure Block Management team can feel proud of their achievements when attending the awards ceremony in London, in November.
“We’re reaping the rewards of investment and a 100% commitment to first-class client care, which we know is hugely appreciated by our clients, many of whom have come to us from other management companies who have failed to meet their expectations,” she said.
“We’ve added hundreds of units to our books in a year while retaining in excess of 99% of our existing clients. We have strengthened our structure with both senior and junior hires, invested in staff development, and deepened our compliance capacity, all without losing our personal touch.”
